Research within Finding Long-term Outback Water Solutions – Stage 3 (G-FLOWS 3) – saw 40 wells surveyed in South Australia’s APY Lands.

The recently-conducted field work also included the installation of one groundwater level logger.

Since the project’s commencement a large amount of in-kind resource support has been provided by the South Australian Government’s Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA) and the Department of Premier and Cabinet. This has included geological data analysis and interpretation, AEM data support, support and advice in planning the proposed drilling program (particularly for core sampling) and field activity support.

The research has also been showcased at the GSSA’s Discovery Day which displays the latest innovative work of the GSSA staff and key collaborators.

G-FLOWS (Stage 3) was presented to the APY Executive for the third time in November 2017 (previously on April & June 2017).
