Daniel Pierce joins Goyder Institute

Daniel Pierce has joined the Goyder Institute for Water Research as Research Manager.

Daniel will be in this role on a part-time basis and will maintain his current position (Senior Hydrogeologist) within the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR).

Daniel brings experience in project management and knowledge transfer and application from 13 years of private sector work in environmental management, science and engineering in Australia and the South Pacific.

His work with DEWNR has included providing technical advice to the development and revision of Water Allocation Plans around South Australia in collaboration with researchers and policy makers. He also manages a team of groundwater modellers and hydrogeologists involved in an assortment of water resource management issues.

Daniel takes over as Research Manager from Dr Graham Green. Graham will continue to work closely with the Goyder Institute on a priority climate change project for state government. The Institute would like to thank Graham for his two years of service, during which time he played a critical role in establishing the research programme of the Institute for 2015-2019.
