Author: Goyder Institute

From the Chair, Hon John Hill:

The Goyder Institute for Water Research Director, Dr Michele Akeroyd, has announced she will be leaving the Institute to take on a new role as Principal Advisor – Water Resources and Environment with Inside Infrastructure. She will step down from the role of Institute Director on Wednesday September 6th, 2017.

Since 2012, Michele has played a significant role in the development and success of the Goyder Institute. Through her leadership, Michele has been able to foster a successful collaborative culture that has delivered many significant accomplishments across a diverse research portfolio that advances science and informs policy and decision making. She has established the Goyder Institute as a world-leading research Institute that produces quality, timely and relevant science for decision makers.

The Board, Partners and staff wish Michele all the best in her new role and thank her for her passion and commitment to the Institute over the past five years.

I am working closely with the Institute’s Board to manage the transition. An announcement regarding an interim director will be made in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns during this transition process, please contact enquiries@goyderinstitute.org.
