PhD update: Dr Mostafa Razzaghmanesh

Dr Mostafa Razzaghmanesh has recently joined the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2, Office of Research and Development (ORD) under the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) administration.

His appointment is served at the National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) in Edison, New Jersey. In his new research, he is looking to enhance his knowledge about the internal hydrologic mechanisms controlling the performance of green infrastructure and also to develop a performance model of individual stormwater control measures and interactions with subsurface water.

During his PhD examination and beyond that, he was appointed as a research assistant to Professor Simon Beecham and Dr Baden Myers on two Goyder Institute research projects including developing resilient green wall for Adelaide as well as a literature review on the effects of stormwater management technologies and their interaction with urban groundwater of Adelaide. At the same time, Mostafa was also actively supervising PhD, Master’s Degree and Honours students.
