Goyder Institute Director Dr Michele Akeroyd was recognised for Outstanding Contribution to Water Efficiency at the 2016 World Water Leadership Awards.
The awards celebrate the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in water leadership to build a better society and a better world.
The awards event formed part of the World Water Leadership Congress and World Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Congress, which brought together more than 130 countries in Mumbai, India.
Dr Akeroyd was one of three South Australian award winners. Other winners included the former Chief Executive of SA Water, John Ringham, and Director of the Water Research Centre at The University of Adelaide, Justin Brookes.
